Brendon's Catch 23

About Brendon's Catch 23

Let me introduce you to Brendon's Catch 23, a seafood spot that quietly anchors the dining scene at 505 S 4th St, Louisville, KY 40202, United States, and does it with confidence and character. From the moment you hear the name, there’s a sense that this place takes its craft seriously while still keeping things relaxed and welcoming, which makes it easy to recommend. The menu leans heavily into seafood, yet it feels approachable, mixing comfort food favorites with healthier and organic options so everyone at the table finds something that clicks without overthinking it. I like how the experience adapts to your schedule and mood, because you can swing by for a laid-back dine-in meal, grab takeaway on the go, or use delivery and no-contact delivery when staying in makes more sense. Inside, the vibe feels polished without being stiff, and thoughtful touches like a Braille menu show real attention to guest comfort and accessibility. Drinks are a big part of the appeal here, too, especially if you’re into cocktails, wine, or a cold beer paired with small plates that are easy to share. Happy-hour food and drinks add another layer of value, making it a smart stop after work or before a night out downtown. There’s also a private dining room for gatherings that need a little separation, which adds flexibility for celebrations or business meals without changing the tone of the place. Late-night food keeps the energy going well into the evening, while vegetarian options ensure no one feels like an afterthought at the table. Even coffee makes an appearance, which says a lot about how the place thinks through the full dining rhythm, from first bite to last sip. For anyone exploring downtown Louisville dining, Brendon's Catch 23 fits naturally into the rotation, whether the plan is casual drinks, a seafood-focused dinner, or a relaxed meetup that stretches across shared plates and conversation, making it easy to keep coming back and discovering something new each visit.

3rd time we've eaten here and it's still one of the top restaurants in Louisville. We parked around the block because its on 4th street and few spots are available. We were early so we had a cocktail at the Seelbach first. Then we got seated and enjoyed the ambiance. Service was impeccable, food was spot on, and although you're paying tourist prices, they knock it out of the park. We started with splitting a bottle of wine, corn chowder and some oysters. My wife had the fried lobster entrée and I had the 8oz filet and lobster tail. We finished with beignets and a creme brulee old fashioned. Definitely recommend Catch 23!!

Brendon’s Catch 23 was an amazing dining experience! We started with the shrimp cocktail, which came out with an impressive presentation — perfectly chilled, fresh, and a great way to kick things off. The Caesar salad was crisp and well-balanced, and the cornbread crusted salmon was absolutely delicious — flaky, flavorful, and beautifully plated. For dessert, the warm butter cake was the perfect sweet ending — rich, buttery, and indulgent. Our server, Ross, was exceptional — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He made us feel well taken care of the entire night. Highly recommend for both the food and the service!

Let's say this;WOW! This Louisville seafood restaurant is absolutely stunning from the interior to the expertly prepared food. Our service was spectacular from our arrival to departure. our server had been well trained and was eager to accommodate our every request. The atmosphere is excellent with high ceilings, light colors and being surrounded to modern styling with a not to the historical building it resides in. Conversation was easy as the restaurant had some sound treatment that worked well. Our appetizers to main course and finally desert was a 10 on the presentation scale. Most importantly, though, was the taste: Everything was seasoned to perfection and allowed one to truly enjoy the freshness of the seafood. When we return to Louisville this restaurant will be on the top of our list to return to. A+!
